Our Story

Puckette Farms, a family-owned and operated Virginia Century Farm, has been in Aaron's family since his great-great-grandfather, James Douglas Puckette, and his wife, Victoria, first purchased the 121-acre property in the early 1900s. Coming from a multigenerational farming family, Aaron has had his hands in the dirt all his life, “I would farm eight days a week if I could.”

Immersing themselves in agriculture, the family has been stewards of the land to raising timber, tobacco, hemp, and cattle, and, recently, completed their first produce season distributing 6,000-bushel boxes to grocery stores along the East Coast.

This effort to grow produce stemmed from the desire to serve their community and make the farm lucrative for the 5th generation, his children, nieces, and nephews. Puckette Farms is Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certified, has 100 acres of organic certified land, and plans to expand its organic operation.
